Dr. Oz to speak at annual Bentley leadership forum
By Associated Press, Boston Herald - Health evangelist Dr. Mehmet Oz will be the keynote speaker at Bentley University at a leadership forum organized with TIME magazine.

The half-day symposium Thursday will feature leaders in health care, environmental change and corporate philanthropy.

Dr. Oz is a cardiac surgeon and host of the syndicated talk show, "The Dr. Oz Show."

Also scheduled to speak at the sixth annual "Bentley Leadership Forum" are Margaret McKenna, president of The Wal-Mart Foundation; Majora Carter, environmental justice activist; and Julie Cottineau, vice president of Brand, Virgin USA.

Winfrey company shops syndication deal for Dr. Oz
Newsday - Long Island, NY, USA - While onetime protege Dr. Phil McGraw is becoming something of an embarrassment with his tabloidesque plays for ratings, talk-show empress Oprah Winfrey's company is shopping another doctor show to syndicators.

The 2009 project for Dr. Mehmet Oz, the heart surgeon who heads the cardiovascular program at New York's Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and has become Winfrey's on-air go-to health-and-wellness guy, potentially would go head-to-head with "The Doctors," a show featuring five medical experts that CBS Television Distribution plans to launch this fall. Notably, among the executive producers of "The Doctors" are Dr. Phil and Jay McGraw, his son.

Fitness DVD gives heart attack survivors expert guidance on what's next
Dallas Morning News (subscription) - TX, USA - For people who suffer a heart attack, surviving is just the first step.

They then have to choose the best way to live to prevent another one, says cardiologist Mehmet Oz, who has teamed up with fitness trainer Bob Greene on a free fitness DVD called Heartfelt for Life: Strengthening Your Heart.
