Vintage collection inspires Rachel Zoe

San Francisco Chronicle - In Hollywood, where the more hyphenated your occupation, the better, it's good to be Rachel Zoe. The celebrity-stylist-reality-TV-star-author-designer - whose client list includes Cameron Diaz, Molly Sims and Naomi Campbell  - returned for a third season of "The Rachel Zoe Project" on Bravo earlier this month, and is in the throes of designing a namesake boutique womenswear collection to premiere in fall 2011.

Expanding upon her budget-minded accessories collection of jewelry, handbags and eyewear for QVC, Zoe adds faux fur and military-inspired outerwear to the mix for fall, which will be available both on the air and online in September. Zoe tells us about what inspires her designs, her must-have pieces for fall, and the pitfalls of reality television.

Q: How would you define your design aesthetic?

A: Very vintage-inspired and glamorous. I love pieces that can transition from day to night.
