Sienna Miller's Flight Suit |
E! Online - USA - Canceling a private plane on Sienna Miller just won't fly.
The Madrid-based casual clothing line Pepe Jeans, for which Miller serves as spokesmodel, filed suit in Manhattan court Thursday against a company operating chartered flights, claiming it failed to deliver the Brit It girl from London to New York for a make-or-break photo shoot.
The botched excursion went down on Oct. 7, when the Jet Set Private Air Service was expected to fly Miller and several members of her entourage from the U.K to a New Jersey airport.
Prior to the day, Pepe Jeans had already ponied up $160,000 for the private flight and, per its suit, claims it had been in touch with the charter company "numerous times" in order to iron out any kinks in the travel arrangements.
Unfortunately, they could have made do with a bit more ironing.
While the 26-year-old Factory Girl star and her travel posse arrived at the airport on time, they were informed that their flight had been delayed by six hours, moving their take-off time from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
After confirming their new departure time, the group absconded from the airport to eat dinner and, upon returning, were informed that they would not be allowed to board the plane, with staff telling them they lacked "the necessary paperwork" to enter the U.S.
As a result, Miller, whose donning of even the most absurd fashions sparks global trends, was unable to honor her commitment to make it to the Pepe shoot. The campaign shoot itself was unable to be rescheduled and a second-string model was subsequently hired to fill in for the irreplaceable Miller.
