Jewish book fair starts this week
Minneapolis Star Tribune - Rabbi Harold Kushner, author of "When Bad Things Happen to Good People," will be the keynote speaker at this year's Twin Cities Jewish Book Fair. Kushner will speak at the opening reception at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The fair continues into February, with eight events sprinkled over the next four months.

Brokaw to sign books, speak Wednesday at USD
Sioux City Journal - Distinguished journalist and best-selling author Tom Brokaw will sign copies of his best-selling book, "BOOM! Voices of the Sixties," after his 7 p.m. address "Uncle Sam Needs Us" at The University of South Dakota on Wednesday at the ballroom of the Muenster University Center.

Brokaw is currently a special correspondent for NBC News reporting and producing long-form documentaries while also providing commentary during election coverage and breaking news events.

A native of Yankton, S.D., and a 1964 graduate of The University of South Dakota, Brokaw is the former anchor of "NBC Nightly News." Most recently, he was a correspondent during the network's

Chef Emeril Lagasse to promote Gulf Safe Mississippi seafood
Emeril Lagasse
WLOX - Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse will help promote Gulf Seafood at the 2010 Viking Classic Golf Tournament in Madison.

Lagasse and other professional chefs will prepare Gulf shrimp in the Viking Classic Culinary tent. The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources' Seafood Marketing Program will provide Gulf Safe wild-caught Mississippi shrimp for the event.

In addition to providing Gulf Safe shrimp for culinary demonstrations, the Seafood Marketing team will have a table in the culinary tent where they will hand out recipe books and will be available to answer questions.
