Nicholas Sparks featured in Signature Author Series |
Montgomery County Courier - The JOHN COOPER SCHOOL in The Woodlands brings best selling author Nicholas Sparks to its sixth annual SIGNATURE AUTHOR SERIES Nov. 12 in The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center.
Despite the fact that previous internationally known figures like Barbara Bush and Dave Barry were featured, Sparks may be the best one yet from a writer’s point of view.
At 44, Sparks has written 15 novels that have engendered stupendous readership and at least three hit movies. “The Notebook” comes readily to mind, with another less successful, “The Last Song,” starring Miley Cyrus. It was released in March.
Sparks’ books have been translated into 35 languages, with over 50 million copies in print.
Yet the man shares much of himself on his web page — that is, as much as one can impart over cyber space. In addition to pithy synopses of his works, there are even questions for book club discussions. He also dissects his own writing process. It’s almost like studying privately with an undeniable master while sitting in front of your computer.
