Jon Peter Lewis isn’t the only former Idol contestant who’ll be lacing up his hiking boots this summer at Idol Camp. He’ll have some help from other former Idols as well.
Last week, officials announced that
Ace Young (season 5) and
Bo Bice (season 4) will be on hand to mentor and perform for the campers this year, alongside JPL. And there will be more big names to come (last year, campers were treated to a concert performance and instruction by R&B superstar,
Macy Gray!). Both
Jon Peter Lewis and Ace Young participated in Idol Camp last year.
There will be five 2-week summer sessions of Idol Camp 2008 to choose from, each session accepting 150 campers, ages 10 - 15. Session dates are June 15- June 28, June 29 - July 12, July 13 - July 26, July 27 - August 9, August 10 - August 23. The cost for a two-week session is $2,995. Interested campers will NOT have to audition in order to attend camp.
The final application deadline is April 18th. Interested campers can apply online.
