Michelle Obama in Reno to Help Boost Reid; Speak |
KOLO - RENO, Nev. (AP) - Senate Majority Harry ReidĀ says he knows he has his work cut out for him to win re-election but he says he's comfortable with the fact the people of Nevada know him pretty well.
The Democratic leader says he hosted First Lady Michelle Obama at a conference on women and children's issues in Reno on Tuesday because she has been such an important influence on the country.
The two were headed to Las Vegas later in the day.
Reid told reporters he's not a boastful man and won't predict the outcome of his race. He refused to discuss the 12 Republicans vying for his seat in next week's primary.
Asked if some are underestimating him, Reid would only say: "We'll have to wait and see what happens in November."
