'Last Comic Standing' winner coming to Ocala

Ocala Star-Banner - Ocala, FL, USA - Ocala will getting some "Blue" humor for a good cause.

Josh Blue, winner of NBC's "Last Comic Standing" show in 2006, will appear here on Aug. 23 to benefit the United Way.

Blue will be part of the United Way "Kickoff Breakfast," at 7:30 a.m. in the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites , and tickets are $20 each and $200 for a corporate table of eight persons.

Also, that night, Blue will play the Ocala Civic Theatre at 7:30. Tickets for the show are $100 and $50.

Blue does much of his material about living with cerebral palsy. "Whether you know it or not, when you leave my show, you have a different understanding of what it is to have a disability," Blue recently told Fredericksburg.com. "I think I'm helping other disabled people."
