Kolzig to be speaker for Tri-Citian of Year event |
By the Herald staff, TheNewsTribune.com - Olie "the Goalie" Kolzig will be the keynote speaker at the Tri-Citian of the Year event April 30 in Pasco.
A native of South Africa, Kolzig is a retired professional hockey goaltender who was one of the original players for the Tri-City Americans. He is now a co-owner of the team.
He played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Washington Capitals and Tampa Bay Lightning.
He announced his retirement from the NHL in September 2009.
