"Julie & Julia" Author To Speak At Library

The Hartford Public Library will host "One Unforgettable Big Summer Night With Julie Powell" on June 24.

Powell, the New York Times best-selling author of "Julie & Julia: 365 days, 524 recipes, 1 tiny apartment kitchen," will speak at the event, which will also include a reception, silent and live auctions, and jazz music. Dinner will be served.

The event will take place at the Connecticut Convention Center, 100 Columbus Boulevard, from 6 to 9 p.m.
