Joe Scarborough Is Officially The Next Don Imus |
Jossip - New York, NY, USA - In exciting (albeit not particularly surprising) news for Intern Wendy and her Cable Quotables column, the Washington Post’s Howard Kurtz reports that MSNBC is “finalizing the details for Morning Joe to permanently take over the 6-to-9 morning slot.”
“The network this week is removing the ‘Scarborough Country’ name from his old 9 p.m. program, now being hosted by MSNBC’s general manager, Dan Abrams,” writes the WaPo.
Scarborough, who has been filling in for the past five weeks or so, is said to be excited about leaving his evening program, Scarborough Country in favor of the too-early-for-young-people time slot, explaining “I get to be myself [in the morning.]”
Which, in Scarborough’s case, means schizophrenia humor, colorful post-debate commentary and a proclivity for pitching tents.
Which isn’t exactly our cup of tea (or should we say “joe?”) but hey, to each their own.
