"Hell's Kitchen" Boils to Top of Hispanic TV Ratings |
HispanicBusiness.com - Santa Barbara, CA, USA - Fox's primetime spin on a cooking show, "Hell's Kitchen," led the way as the network nearly dominated the top five in the most recent Hispanic TV ratings, according to figures released by the Nielsen Media Group for the week of Aug. 6-12.
Billed as "the ultimate kitchen competition," the show netted a 4.3 mark to top the Hispanic TV ratings for English-language programs. The chart-topping broadcast was the second-to-last show of the season for "Hell's Kitchen," which aired its season finale on Monday. Next week's ratings will show if "Hell's Kitchen" was able to close out its third season with two consecutive weeks at No. 1 in the Hispanic TV ratings.
Fox's animated series "Family Guy" accounted for two top-five finishes. Its 9:30 p.m. showing on Sunday was second in the ratings with a 4.0, while its 9 p.m. broadcast tied for fifth along with CW's "Friday Night Smackdown" and ABC's "Primetime" with 3.1 marks.
ABC's "Just for Laughs" placed third with a 3.6 and a Fox airing of NFL preseason football earned fourth place with a 3.2, allowing the network to post four out of the top five spots. Fox also laid claim to seven out of the top 10 shows.
