Reno Gazette Journal - Reno, NV, USA - RENO-The Boettcher family, recipients of January's "Extreme Makeover" in Stagecoach, will join hundreds of sponsors and volunteers during the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" viewing party at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno.
The public is invited to the St. Patrick's Day-themed event on Sunday, March 16. The event will include a $10 public Bowl-A-Thon from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with all proceeds benefiting the Boettcher Family Project Fund.
Also, for $20, patrons may join the viewing party excitement from 6:30-9 p.m. The Stadium's Cue and Cushion will serve a variety of food and beverages, including green beer in honor of the Irish holiday, with a portion of the sales going toward the Boettcher Family Project Fund.
Following a viewing of sponsor West Haven Development Group's behind-the-scenes DVD, the Boettcher's episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" will be shown at 8 p.m. on all 78 screens at the National Bowling Stadium.
"The week of the build went by so quickly it all seems like a blur now," Lou Borrego, CEO of West Haven Development Group, said. "It's incredible how they can take hundreds of hours of filming us build these two structures and then condense it into one hour. I can't wait to see how it's going to turn out."
In addition to providing the public with a chance to bowl at the National Bowling Stadium for a good cause, sponsors and contributors to the project are invited to a private bowling party prior to the screening from 5 -- 6:30 p.m. with complimentary food and refreshments provided by The Grill at Quail Corners, Men Wielding Fire, Subway, Morrey Distributing and Dr. Pepper 7 Up Bottling Company of the West.
