ESPN Sets Celebrities for ESPY Awards |
Television Week - Detroit, MI, USA - ESPN has lined up its annual bevy of stars to join co-hosts LeBron James and Jimmy Kimmel at the upcoming ESPY Awards in July.
The 15th annual gala, which commemorates the past year of sports by honoring sports achievements and athletes, has added names from the worlds of film, sports, television and music to its roster of presenters. Among the names to appear will be actors Samuel L. Jackson, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Dane Cook; NFL quarterbacks Peyton Manning, Vince Young and Matt Leinart; actresses Kate Walsh of "Grey's Anatomy" and Jamie Lynn Sigler of "The Sopranos;" and swimming star Michael Phelps.
The show will be taped at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on July 11 and air on ESPN on July 15. For the fourth year, fans will determine the winners for most of the categories through online voting.
Last year, the awards show earned its best-ever ratings with a 1.6 rating and 5 share for the ceremony.
