Dancing with the Stars Cast Revealed

Associated Content - Denver, CO, USA - The celebrity cast for the new season of the hit TV show Dancing with the Stars has finally been announced. Twelve celebrities ranging from illusionists to Olympic athletes will be part of the season 6 Dancing with the Stars cast.

Adam Carolla is one of six male celebrity dancers announced. Carolla is best known as a TV and radio host with programs such Loveline, The Man Show, and The Adam Carolla Show.

In addition to Adam Carolla, TV viewers might also recognize this next Dancing with the Stars cast member: Cristian de la Fuente. Born in South America, Cristian de la Fuente eventually found a home on American televisions with roles such as Andres Diaz on Family Law, Sam Belmontes on CSI: Miami, and Aaron on The Class.

Other actors joining the Dancing with the Stars season six cast are Steve Guttenberg, Shannon Elizabeth, Marlee Matlin, and Marissa Jaret Winokur. Older audiences should remember Steve Guttenberg from popular 80's movies like Police Academy, Cocoon, Short Circuit, and 3 Men and a Baby. Younger audiences might be more familiar with actress Shannon Elizabeth from movies like Scary Movie and American Pie 2, or from TV shows like That 70's Show and Cuts. Marlee Matlin is widely known for being a deaf actress and winning the Oscar for the film Children of a Lesser God. And Marissa Jaret Winokur might be the least familiar of the actor as most of her fame has come from the Broadway show Hairspray.

It's not all just about actors though. NFL Man of the Year, Jason Taylor, will leave the football field for the dance floor. The Miami Dolphins defensive player will follow former Dancing with the Stars football players Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith.

Other athletes joining the Dancing with the Stars cast are Kristi Yamaguchi and Monica Seles. Ice skater Kristi Yamaguchi rose to fame after winning the gold at the 1992 winter Olympics. And Monica Seles has been setting the tennis world on fire for the past 15 years.
