Charles Handy to Share Leadership Wisdom at Ashridge International Leadership Conference |
PR.com (press release) - Levittown, NY, USA - Management guru, Charles Handy, will deliver the keynote address at Ashridge’s fifth international leadership conference, Leading from the Edge: exploring and experiencing new horizons in leadership from 30 July – 1 August 2007.
On the first day of the conference, Charles Handy will share his insights on compassionate and responsible leadership, before having a question and answer session with conference participants.
Charles Handy is recognised as one of the world’s pre-eminent and influential management thinkers. His books such as The Future of Work, The Age of Unreason, The Empty Raincoat and most recently The New Alchemists: How Visionary People Make Something Out of Nothing, have fundamentally changed much of management thinking and practice.
This year’s leadership conference focuses on leadership journeys and personal quests - providing leaders with innovative insights and new experiences of how they might lead differently. Through a number of speakers and workshops, this interactive conference will showcase the latest work on leadership and blend it with the latest research by international academics and the experiences of practising business leaders.
In addition to Charles Handy, speakers lined up for the 2007 Conference include: Max Kammerer, Global Head Customer Service, Nokia; Michael Wilks, Chairman, Representative Body, British Medical Association and Kurt April, Professor of Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion, Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town and Ashridge Associate.
Workshop sessions will cover a range of leadership topics including: Leadership and Spirituality with Marjo Wiersema, Senior Lecturer, University of Canterbury, New Zealand; The Rhythm of Leadership with Adam Barley, Embodied Leadership expert; the leadership journey with international Jazz artist, Jacqui Dankworth and Future Leaders with Megan Reitz and Melissa Carr, Ashridge faculty.
The fee for attendance at the conference is £1,200 + VAT, and includes all residential costs.
