Big laughs: Ralphie May gets a new life after 'Last Comic' fame
Maryville Daily Times - Maryville,TN,USA - Without a doubt, NBC's "Last Comic Standing" changed Ralphie May's life -- and it may have saved it as well.

In addition from his socio-economic move -- from a four-plex at Crenshaw and Adams in Los Angeles to a house in the Hollywood Hills -- May also obtained the financial stability to tend to his health. He's still a big guy, but he's not the morbidly obese funny man that Americans fell for.

"I got something I'd never had before -- insurance," May told The Daily Times this week. "I went to a specialist at Cedars-Sinai (Medical Center), and I got gastric

Joan Rivers rocks Rehoboth
Cape Gazette - Lewes,DE,USA - Tears rolled down people’s faces, stomachs and sides hurt, people struggled to stay upright on their chairs, and they were having a great time.

At the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, Saturday, April 4, comedienne Joan Rivers was a master, showing how just one person with a microphone can entertain hundreds. This was not a person resting on past success, an entertainer going through the motions; no, this was a performer at the peak of her ability.

While Rivers has been in the entertainment business for more than 40 years, she worked, sweated, bounded from one end of the stage to the other

Since the star of Blonde Ambition, Employee of the Month and the TV sitcom NewsRadio has been in town Monday, he's fallen for the city's people, scenery and alligator sushi, although it gave him heartburn.

Dick finds Lafayette quieter and prettier than New Orleans and Shreveport, where he's done movies. The comedian has even started looking at houses here.

And although Bellamy has had his share of tangential success – from years of hosting on MTV, a starring role in the Fox cop drama series Fastlane to voicing video games to big screen projects like Any Given Sunday, How to be a Player and The Brothers – Bellamy has never abandoned his roots as a stand-up comic.

Trash-Talking, Foulmouthed and Downright Honest
Newsweek - USA - For most people high school was hell. The daily humiliation and rejection from the "cool kids" was torture and the awkwardness of adolescence made it all the worse. In fact, most of us just thank God we survived and made it into the adult world where looking good in a short skirt doesn't define our self-worth. Most of us, that is, unless, like Kathy Griffin, we ended up in high school for life, a.k.a Hollywood. Airing on Bravo on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET, Griffin unleashes her next tactic for becoming one of the cool kids on the third season

Morrow: 'D-list' really only deserves B-plus
Kathy Griffin
Knoxville News Sentinel - Knoxville, TN, USA - Kathy Griffin may say her career is on the wane, but she's actually hotter than ever.

Can't an Emmy and national controversy be enough to get a girl off the D-list?

Certainly it is, but comic Kathy Griffin is clinging to her underdog status for a fourth season of "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List." After all, she's pretending as if this show is all she has.

In reality, Griffin, perhaps, is hotter now than she's ever been. The series won an Emmy last year, and her acceptance speech for it caused a firestorm (she decreed that the award was her God
