American Idol winner, other celebs turn out for autism benefit
Lower Hudson Journal news - West Harrison, NY, USA - On a day when Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate battled for the U.S. Open title in California, singer Taylor Hicks was one of dozens of celebrities at Winged Foot Golf Club yesterday to raise an estimated $1 million for the Autism Speaks charity.

Hicks, who won the fifth season of "American Idol" and is guest-starring in "Grease" on Broadway, said the cause is important to him.

'American Idol' Taylor Hicks To Visit West End Borders
WKRN - Nashville, TN, USA - In his new book, "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks reveals that he was lonely and depressed when he lived in Nashville .

On Wednesday night, Taylor will be at the West End Borders to sign copies of the book, "Heart Full of Soul."

This time, he'll feel the love instead of the tough times he had in pre-"Idol" days when he lived in Nashville.

American Idol: Taylor Hicks to sing national anthem at NBA Finals
BuddyTV - USA - Taylor Hicks, the silver haired winner of American Idol's fifth season, is set to sing the national anthem this Thursday for game four of the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers.  The game will be held in Cleveland at the unfortunately named Quicken Loans Arena in what will likely be the final game of the NBA Finals.  The Spurs have beaten down Lebron James' Cavaliers in the first two games and it's hard to imagine the totally over matched Cavs winning a game, even at home.
