Bill Nye, Soledad O'Brien among speakers in Miami lecture series
Middletown Journal - The Lecture Series at Miami University has a reputation for bringing unforgettable speakers to Oxford, and this year it certainly will not disappoint.

The lineup of free lectures includes film producer Jon Landau, Adam Richman from “Man vs. Food,” Bill Nye from “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” and Soledad O’Brian from CNN.

Each speaker won’t just bring a big name, according to Lana Rosenburg, chairwoman of the lecture series, they will create an educational experience for those attending.

Soledad O'Brien keynote speaker at Women's Business Conference
KGET 17 - Bakersfield, CA, USA - Brains, Beauty, and Balance: That is the focus of this year's Bakersfield Women's Business Conference.

This year's keynote speaker is TV journalist Soledad O'Brien.

O'Brien works for CNN, but has also worked for NBC News, covering both national and internation stories.

She's earned an Emmy and has been named one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People.

This year's Women's Business Conference is April 17 at the Rabobank Convention Center.

CNN's O'Brien tells graduates to find their 'passion'
Ithaca Journal - Ithaca, NY, USA - CNN anchorwoman Soledad O'Brien shared wisdom she learned at home and on the road with graduates and their families at Saturday's Cornell University Convocation at Schoellkopf Field.

O'Brien spoke of her mother, an Afro-Cuban who came to the United States speaking no English, and of people caught in Hurricane Katrina and the Thai tsunami she covered as an award-winning television news reporter, producer and anchor. She was welcomed by President David Skorton, who took part in his first graduation weekend since being named the school's 12th president last year and referred to himself, appropriately, as “a freshman.”
