| Ricky Gervais brings animated TV comedy to US |

- Cable channel HBO said on Tuesday that the 13-episode "The Ricky Gervais Show" will debut on February 19, and will be voiced by Gervais, his longtime collaborator Stephen Merchant and friend Karl Pilkington.
The show is an animated version of popular podcasts by the trio that were first created for the website of British newspaper "The Guardian" and which were widely downloaded.
The HBO show strengthens the growing presence of Gervais on the U.S. entertainment scene. The actor and stand-up comedian won an acting Emmy for his series "Extras" and created the Golden Globe |

- I was drawn into this whole story by the thought of Tina Fey, but be still my comedic heart, she's not the only one involved. As Jessica posted earlier this month, Ricky Gervais has a blog for his upcoming comedy, This Side of the Truth, and he's just announced the final casting. - At the Live Earth concert on Saturday, Chris Rock and Ricky Gervais announced their upcoming buddy cop film Badge Buddies. That's right, Badge Buddies. Well at least it’s forthright.
Gervais summarized the plot, saying that he stars as a cop whose old partner retires, making him switch to a partner who is an ex-gang member.
