NewsOK.com - Former first lady Laura Bush will come to Oklahoma City to speak in April.

Bush will be the featured author at the ninth annual Literary Voices dinner, a fundraiser benefiting the Metropolitan Library System endowment. Bush's memoir, "Spoken from the Heart," was released in May and is on The New York Times Best Sellers list.

Bush was the perfect speaker for several reasons, said Chris Carroll.

The private dinner, which is being hosted by the National Park Foundation, is expected to draw more than 100 attendees.
