| Lewis Black puts Oprah and Trump on trial for laughs |
Reuters - USA
- This here is a rather ingenious little concept bolstered by the at once self-mocking and self-important intellectual comedic sensibility that we've come to identify with Comedy Central.
"Lewis Black's Root of All Evil" has middle-aged comic treasure Lewis Black's fearless stamp all over it, showing him setting up an ersatz trial pitting various individuals and entities of popular culture against one another to determine which is the more downright wicked. In the opener, it's Oprah vs. the Catholic Church. In the second installment, it's Donald Trump vs. Viagra. The close match of the two subjects is obvious enough. Both Oprah and | | Read More |

| Dancing Scoop! Mark Cuban and Jane Seymour? |
E! Online - USA
- Will Jane Seymour and billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban be competing in the next season of Dancing with the Stars?
I hear television’s Dr. Quinn, 56, has signed on as a contestant. Seymour had been invited in seasons past, but as I was the first to report in February, she had to turn them down because of work conflicts.
Seymour was in the audience when Apolo Anton Ohno won last season’s competition in May. When asked by People magazine after the show if she wanted a turn on Dancing, Seymour said, “Oh my. I don’t know. Maybe.”
Cuban, 49, is also said to be | | Read More |

New television spots for Macy's - one of which will debut on September's Emmy-Award broadcast - will also feature R&B singer Usher, Tim Gunn from Project Runway, chef Emeril Lagasse, and hip-hop mogul Sean "Puff Daddy" "P. Diddy" " Diddy" Combs.
Also on the roster as a celebrity endorser for the Cincinnati-based retailer is Jessica Simpson. Seems like a | | Read More |

| Report: Trump and NBC kiss and make up |
TV Squad - Santa Monica, CA, USA
- Reuters is reporting that NBC and Donald Trump have agreed to bring back The Apprentice for one more season, and possibly two. During this spring's Upfronts presentation, The Apprentice was left off the NBC schedule. The network didn't officially cancel the reality show, but Donald Trump opened his big yapper and announced that he had no plans to return for another season. Then, less than two weeks later, he told Larry King that he did want another season. Since then, NBC has hired a new entertainment president and that may be the reason The Apprentice is back on the table.
