Hollywood Reporter - United States - At its 2008 upfront presentation Thursday, Nickelodeon announced its first original primetime family movie, called "Gym Teacher," starring "Law & Order: SVU's" Christopher Meloni, as well as the development of a music-based sitcom about a boy band called "One 4 All," produced in partnership with Sony/BMG Music Entertainment.

COMEDY CENTRAL TAPS SNOOP, DAVID ALAN GRIER: Snoop behind animation project; Grier to spoof celebrity news magazines. - Los Angeles, CA, USA - Comedy Central has added new television projects to its 2009 development slate: one from rapper Snoop Dogg, the other from comedian David Alan Grier, the network announced Wednesday.

The untitled Snoop Dogg project will take an animated look at the artist's life as a 15-year-old in 1980s Long Beach. Tha Doggfather and Tom Lynch will executive produce.

"We've been looking to get into business with Snoop, who's always fantastic on our roasts," said Lauren Corrao, Comedy Central's president of original programming and development. "He's one of those people who truly crosses over between music and comedy."

DAVID ALAN GRIER JOINS COMEDY CENTRAL: Comedian brings ‘Chocolate News’ to 2007-08 development slate. - Los Angeles, CA, USA - Comedian David Alan Grier is behind a new magazine-show parody that will join a number of freshman programs premiering this fall on Comedy Central, the network announced Tuesday.
