Ct Post - New Milford resident Don Clady, of Connecticut Cruise News and the Road Poets, will attend the party of the book release for "Verse and Steel" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Harley-Davidson/Buell on Federal Road in Danbury. Clady will join K. Peddlar, co-author, and several other writers in reading and signing the new book. Limited editions of the book will be available at the event for $16.95.

Broadcaster Cokie Roberts Kicks Off Martinsburg Book Festival
State Journal - MARTINSBURG -- Award-winning TV and radio newswoman Cokie Roberts kicked off the West Virginia Book Faire Friday afternoon with a wide-ranging talk in which she paid homage to the miners killed in Montcoal on April 5 and stressed the importance of expanding access to public libraries.

Roberts, the 66-year-old New Orleans native who is a news analyst for both NPR and ABC News, was the keynote speaker at a luncheon at the Holiday Inn in Martinsburg. About 150 people attended.
