Raleigh's Clay Aiken Wins Big On Game Show
The Raleigh Telegram - Raleigh,NC,USA - RALEIGH - Well known singer Clay Aiken of Raleigh appeared on a national game show, winning $300,000 for his charity, the Bubel-Aiken Foundation on Friday night.

The special celebrity edition of the "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader" game show, hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy, aired on the Fox network on Friday night, August 29th.

On the show, adult contestants are paired with fifth graders in an effort to answer grade school-type questions about math, history, science, literature, and more.

'American Idol'-inspired 'Idol: The Musical' closes after just one night
Reality TV World - Mansfield, MA, USA - An American Idol-inspired musical apparently had far less success than the Fox mega-hit it's based on.

Idol: The Musical -- "a satirical musical comedy" that followed a delusional Clay Aiken fan base consisting of soon-to-be high-school graduates -- closed on Monday after only one regular performance, Reuters reported Tuesday.

"[Production closed] due to a lack of advance ticket sales, a lack of positive feedback from audience members and critics and a lack of sustainable financial resources," producer Todd Ellis said in a statement, according to Reuters.
