| Sharp Edge, Lethal Aim: Chris Rock Brings the Pain to DC |
Washington Post - United States
- In these YouTubian times, there's a certain peril in conducting a multi-city stand-up comedy tour: Punch lines precede their progenitor. Which is to say, you probably already heard about Chris Rock's take on Hillary Clinton: "I think America's ready for a woman president, I really do -- but does it have to be that woman?" Or that he thinks John McCain is as old as dirt: "I don't need [a president] with a bucket list." | Chris Rock: No Apologies |
The Santa Barbara Independent - Santa Barbara, CA, USA
- No Chris Rock fan could have been disappointed with the comedy mega-star’s No Apologies tour stop at the Chumash Casino Friday night. Rock opened by expressing bewilderment at playing an Indian casino, a location that clearly confused his merchandising team as well. Souvenir “No Apologies” tour T-shirts listed the stop as “Chumash, CA.” | | Read More |

Paste Magazine - Decatur, GA, USA
- At the Live Earth concert on Saturday, Chris Rock and Ricky Gervais announced their upcoming buddy cop film Badge Buddies. That's right, Badge Buddies. Well at least it’s forthright.
Gervais summarized the plot, saying that he stars as a cop whose old partner retires, making him switch to a partner who is an ex-gang member. Chris Rock commented on this saying, “I wouldn’t call it a buddy cop flick because we’re not really buddies.” You've never actually seen a buddy cop movie, have you, Rock? “It’s kind of Rush Hour meets Shakespeare in Love,” he adds. Nevermind, where could they | | Read More |
