Palmer considering 'one-shot' deal as host of Hope Classic |

- If the details can be worked out, Arnold Palmer will become the celebrity host of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in 2009 to celebrate the event's 50th year.
Palmer won the first tournament in 1960 and won the last of his 62 PGA Tour titles there in 1973. Three of the four courses used in the rotation for the tournament staged in Palm Desert, Calif., were designed by Palmer's company.

- Kentucky native and NASCAR NEXTEL Cup driver Jeff Green isn't accustomed to hob-knobbing with the rich and famous.
But that's what he'll be doing this Monday in Manhattan when he attends the Samsung's Four Seasons of Hope gala dinner.
The sixth annual event will honor sports legends Dan Marino, Boomer Esiason, Joe Torre, Wayne Gretzky, Arnold Palmer, Earvin "Magic" Johnson and Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani for their philanthropic efforts with respective charities.
