Carolla's the 'Dancing' casualty this week

Detroit Free Press, United States - It’s a sad day for comedy now that Adam Carolla has been booted off “Dancing With the Stars.”

The funniest celebrity ever to compete on the hit ABC show – and no, Jerry Springer isn’t a close second – was eliminated Tuesday night after getting the lowest score this week for a paso doble that began with him riding a unicycle.

The Los Angeles radio host and Jimmy Kimmel pal may not have been a natural on the ballroom floor, but he always ranked high in the hearts of viewers who like their televised prancing with a side of sardonic wit.

What will we miss about him most? Oh, so many inappropriate things:

His jabs at the judges: Early on, when he called Carrie Ann Inaba a word that rhymes with witch while waiting for his scores backstage, you knew it was going to be an interesting season.

His jokes about the guest performers: Carolla risked the wrath of 12-year-old girls everywhere when he made fun of the thick eyebrows of one of the Jonas Brothers. Hey, at least he was speaking as a fellow unibrow.
