American Idol winner Underwood readies album

RTE.ie - Ireland - Carrie Underwood, the winner of the fourth series of 'American Idol', is to release her second album in the autumn.

Billboard reports that the as-yet-untitled record, the follow-up to 2005's 'Some Hearts', will be released on 23 October.

'Some Hearts' has been a bestseller in the US, providing the singer with hit singles 80 weeks after its release.
